Merus Kunoichi Bosshi is the number one elite patrolman of the Galactic Patrol and formerly a Trainee Angel.
Merus appears to be a young humanoid. In his mortal form, he has a greyish colored hair and purplish-skin while in his Angel form he has white hair blue skin. He also has a bowl haircut and a lean athletic build. While working under the Galactic Patrol, Merus wears a dark jumpsuit which consists of stripes on the sides of his arms, torso, and legs, a jacket that covers his chest and shoulders, and the Galactic Patrol insignia on the left chest side of his jacket while being equipped with bluetooth like devices on both ears, which have antennae.
Merus’s Power
As an Angel, Merus is one of the most powerful beings in the Multiverse, though apparently as a trainee, he is weaker than the full-fledged guide Angels.
When hiding his nature as an Angel so as not to violate the Angel Laws, Merus is the strongest Galactic Patrolman. His prowess and efficiency has placed him in charge of 104 districts. He is capable of moving so fast that neither Goku nor Vegeta in their base forms could see him – allowing him to get behind them and incapacitate them with his Stun Gun. Against the Galactic Patrol Prisoners whose ki was empowered by Moro upon his own energy and later upon Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta, all Merus and Jaco could do was to fend off the army with their ray-guns, but couldn’t kill these prisoners.
Merus’ true strength comes from his natural reaction to danger. Trained to anticipate incoming attacks, he can effectively dodge seemingly anything that attacks him. This combined with his combat skills, it allows him to perform perfect counter maneuvers. This was seen from his sparing match against Goku. Despite the orders to leave matters to the mortals, Merus ultimately decided to face off against Moro. With just his bo staff, Merus proved able to outmaneuver the wizard who recently absorbed Seven-Three to vastly more power than the entire Dragon Team combined. With superb skill, Merus was able to destroy Moro’s ability to copy other’s capacities.
Impressions of Merus
Merus explains how Buu absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai
Merus says that Moro is still strong without his magic and has been sentenced to death, even though no one has the strength to end his life, so He was sentenced to life. Merus hypothesizes that Moro might have regained some of his magic back, which allows him to escape and so they ask the Grand Supreme Kai’s help once again. When Vegeta asks how it relates to Good Buu, Merus explains that the Majin previously absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai as Kid Buun five million years after Moro was captured and that they need to harness his Kai powers by somehow. Merus then informs Goku and Vegeta that the Galactic King is waiting to hold the induction ceremony for them.
Soon after, Merus was informed by a group of the Milky Way Patrol that the Macareni Ice had stolen the Blue Aurum on Planet Jung. Wanting to see just how powerful he really is, Goku and Vegeta join Merus in their quest to capture them.
Merus confronts Pasta
Suddenly, the Galactic Patrol appears and flies along the ship in their spaceship, with Merus jumping on board, where he confronts the leader of the gang, Pasta Macareni. Pasta admitted that he couldn’t defeat Merus in a fight, so the Galactic Patrol ordered him to put down his gun. Using his Shotgun-type Ray Gun, Pasta destroys the track that Merus is currently riding on. Merus is questioned by Vegeta about his strength.
However, by using his rocket boots and power, the Merus was able to slow down the compartments before they fell off the rails, thus preventing a powerful and deadly explosion. After asking Jaco to retrieve the Blue Aurum, Merus chases after the gang, but discovers that they are hiding on a spaceship. Despite this, Vegeta realizes that Merus has interfered with their ship and will stop them from succeeding regardless, though he cannot see when he did so. Vegeta approaches Merus and asks why he is hiding his powers, but Merus denies that.
When Vegeta asks if he can capture Moro on his own, Merus receives a report from the Kusaya Squad about Moro’s location. Suddenly, Irico is notified by another Galaxy Patrol about something in his intercom and tells Merus, Jaco, Goku and Vegeta that the Kusaya Squad is spying when they accidentally found the location of Moro. Merus wonders what Moro wants, since there are no planets with life in the direction he is going. Merus tells him that now Moro can scan the planets with life and his abilities have returned to him.
Merus said this was worse than he had imagined. Merus and the others planned their next action. Merus does not believe that Goku and Vegeta will be able to win, so it is decided that he and the others will return to the Galactic Patrol HQ to take Buu. On his way back, Merus explained to Jaco that Moro could use the energy he stole from the planets in his attacks.
Merus states that Moro can steal an opponent’s energy while fighting, and is disappointed when Goku and Vegeta challenge him without knowing all the facts. At the Galactic Patrol headquarters, Merus returns to find that Good Buu has finally woken up and came to meet him in the chaotic hallway. Before leaving, Merus asked Irico to keep the ship ready for departure to New Namek as soon as possible. After Buu’s memories of his time as the Grand Supreme Kai awakened, Merus arrived in New Namek with him and some of the Galactic Patrol members.
Merus traps Moro in the net
Merus, sitting on top of the ship, shot into the wings of Moro’s spaceship, causing the car to break down. Moro shoots a series of ki blasts at Merus, however, the Milky Way Patrol activates his rocket boots and avoids the explosions. Merus approaches Moro and uses a device attached to his wrist, shoots out a substance that covers the Planet-Eater’s body and wraps him from the inside. Moro struggles to escape and Merus explains that the device was created just to capture the evil witch.
Moro is furious and free from his bondage as he senses Grand Supreme Kai’s presence in Good Buu, causing Merus to say they’re in trouble.
Merus tells Buu to use the Kai Matoru on Moro
Merus is shocked when Buu possesses such power that he can overwhelm Moro. As Goku continues to watch, he notes that although it’s been so long since he last saw Buu fight, he seems to have gotten stronger than before. Merus wondered if it had anything to do with his potential being released after his memories were recently unlocked. Moro becomes angry, believing he will never lose if he has access to his full magical powers.
Goku is glad that Buu won, Kai Kai Matoru to put an end to him.
Merus and the others prepare to track down Moro
Suddenly, they were interrupted by the nearly dark sky, signaling that the Dragon Balls were being used. It is revealed that Moro’s accomplice, Cranberry, had summoned Porungav and used his first wish to heal himself. Merus, Jaco and Buu boarded the Spaceship piloted by Irico and headed towards Moro. Merus prepares while Goku and the others prepare to teleport to Moro.
Merus asks where Moro went and Goku replies that he has nothing to say because he has suppressed his ki. Buu says that he is still here and he will try to eat the planet’s flesh to gain more strength. He explains that until Moro is defeated, he will swap places for Buu and they can still save New Namek if everyone quickly confronts Moro. Before they leave, Merus tells Goku that he will make necessary preparations and bring the ship to him, warning him to be careful with Moro’s magic.
Goku assures him that they will end this. As they left, Merus stated that he believed in their ability to stop Moro.
Merus, Jaco and Esca lost energy before Moro
As Moro continued to drain New Namek’s energy, Merus, Jaco and Esca entered orbit in their ship to prevent their energy from being absorbed as well. Merus offers to help him rebuild the New Namek once Moro is defeated.
Blinding Moro
Merus Merus saves Grand Supreme Kai from a finishing blow by using his capture device on Moro. Merus brings the Grand Supreme Kai to an asteroid and informs him of their plan. At first, Merus asks if he is still capable of using the Kai Kai technique. The Core Person is amazed at Merus’s knowledge and confirms that as the Supreme Kai he can do it.
Just then, Moro appeared and cursed Merus. Merus returns to the Galactic Patrol spacecraft, where Jaco compliments him for his performance. Merus insists they return to Namek, but Jaco believes Goku and Vegeta can handle Moro on his own. Merus and Jaco go to New Namek to help Goku and Vegeta.
When the prisoners arrived in New Namek, Merus and Jaco went to the surface to aid their allies in the battle. Merus advises you to retreat, as they cannot defeat Moro and his allies. Goku grabs Jaco and Merus, intending to use Instant Transfer to retreat back to the Milky Way Patrol Headquarters, and the Grand Supreme Kai grabs Esca and teleports there himself. Goku and Merus wonder what Vegeta is up to.
After bathing, the Galactic King learns about the prisoners who have escaped from the Galactic Prison and speculates that Merus will fix the problem. Merus explained that Moro was able to grow stronger than they expected and that their strategy needed to be reworked.
